Featuring laser-cut ventilation holes, this sump guard has been engineered to deliver exceptional strength, durability, and accurate fitment on Heritage and genuine Mini subframes.
Since June 2014, this sump guard has been redesigned and manufactured from 5mm thick Marine Grade EN5083 aluminium alloy, offering improved hardness, corrosion resistance, and longevity.

Important Fitment Information
Correct clearance between the gearbox and sump guard is essential to ensure proper cooling and prevent contact during operation.
If required, it is recommended to shim the rear mounting legs using washers to achieve sufficient clearance.
- Recommended shim thickness: up to 1/4" (6.3mm)
Development Background
Originally developed for the Rover Merchandise and Accessories programme in 1996, this sump guard did not complete the full validation programme following the cancellation of the accessory range.
Typical testing procedures involved 10,000–20,000 miles of evaluation to ensure that the sump guard did not adversely affect oil temperatures, restrict cooling, or create any operational issues.
