Originally, the top of this master cylinder would have featured either a removable union or a small hexagonal nut shape machined into it, but as these options are no longer available, the pipe now goes directly into the flat top as per the original design while maintaining a period-correct outlet. The later master cylinders post late 1964 have a more pointed shape where the brake pipe comes out. Ensure the correct DOT4 or DOT5.1 brake fluid is used as these cylinders are not designed to use anything else.
