When in doubt replace it. You have heard this many times but you better believe it on this part. If you have not personally just replaced these layshaft bearing then do it now while you have the chance. These bearing will destroy the inside of a very expensive laygear if allowed to deteriorate. Even if you cannot see the usual pitting that occurs on these little needle rollers you should replace them as preventative maintenance.
