Gearbox to engine steady rod for rod change geaboxes. 1/2"longer than 998cc type to accomodate for the engine being further forward on 1275cc models from 1990 on. This is the rod with bends in and has a fork at one end and threaded at the other. First appeared in 1985 from Rover.
