Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House was designed by Danish architect Jorn Ultzon and was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II on the 20th October in 1973. With fireworks and a famous performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 it was televised on Australian TV making headlines across the globe.
Today it is the most distinctive and famous building of the 20th-century,
with thousands of tourists coming from all around the world to see this amazing and unusual one of a kind building with little or no interest in opera today.
The Sydney Opera House has almost 1000 rooms as well as five theaters, including five rehearsal studios, with two main halls, plus four restaurants, six public bars and a large number of souvenir shops.
