Sydney skyline is quite dominated these days by many large office buildings as well as many Sydney hotels located around the CBD.
One of most visited attractions in Sydney today is Sydney Centre Point Tower.
Sydney Centre Point Tower was designed by an Australian architect Donald Crone. The tower was unveiled in Sydney in March 1968. It was opened to the public in August 1981. It has 56 cables which stabilize the tower today.
Sydney Centre Point Tower is located on Market Street, between Pitt Street and Castlereagh Street. It is located in Central Business District. It is the tallest free-standing structure. The Sydney Centre Point Tower is accessible from the Pitt Street Mall.
Sydney Centre Point Tower has an Observation Deck and a restaurant which stands 309 meters above the ground. It has three double deck lifts, which provide access to Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck and restaurants. It takes only 40 seconds to reach the top traveling up in the lifts.
It is the highest Observation deck in Southern Hemisphere. It has a capacity of 960 persons and contains two levels of restaurants and coffee lounge.
The restaurant provides great views right across the city on a clear day. At times you are also able to see Blue Mountains located in Sydney West.
On the observation level a restaurant which rotates slowly 360 degrees through while you eat, whilst enjoying the magnificent views from one of the best Sydney's vantage points. The bar and dining provides a breathtaking setting with an unbeatable backdrop.
The SKYWALK facility was constructed in 2005 on top of Sydney Point Tower and it cost almost $4 million Australian dollars.
